It’s easy to complain about federal government spending. What do we really get for our taxes?

Over 50 local kids will be cast in the local production of “Tortoise Versus the Hare.” For over a decade, the Missoula Children’s Theater has come to Johnson County. For many kids, it will be the first time they have seen a play, much rather participated. Without support from the National Endowment for the Arts, this program simply would not be possible.

Last year, Buffalo High School student Carlos Gonzales stood in front of his peers and a group of judges. He paced himself as he recited “I Close My Eyes” by David Ignatow. In Wyoming’s Poetry Out Loud competition, expressions must match the theme of the poem.
