The Red Onion Museum speaks to the history of Upton and the surrounding area. The Wild West was won, one settler at a time, one family putting down roots, and each family and invention that followed. For example, it was an Upton resident named Bill Gray that worked with a four-horse team and laborers to create the Burlington Reservoir that has provided water to our area for one hundred years. It has been used for railroad construction, residents, and even our golf course. These stories of local residents and the enormous impact they made on the area may be forgotten to history if not for the Red Onion Museum.

We treasure our local heritage and appreciate it being told through stories, artifacts, pictures, and memorabilia found at the Red Onion Museum in Upton.
