Upton Economic Development Board Welcomes Executive Director of UEDB!

Upton, WY – Upton Economic Development Board is proud to announce it has hired Stephanie Salazar, as the UEDB executive director. Salazar will be responsible for attracting new businesses and primary jobs, as well as facilitating local business expansion, and new jobs growth in the Town of Upton. With years of economic development experience in industrial and commercial business growth, Salazar is equipped to provide strategic leadership to the organization. 

She joins the UEDB after 10+ years of economic development consulting, for communities in Colorado, and South Dakota. In Colorado she is noted for successfully facilitating two diverse projects, a brownfields site redeveloped as a rail-served industrial park in a rural town, and commercial redevelopment of an urban downtown business improvement district; both of which attracted new businesses and new jobs. 

Ms. Salazar also has a background in real estate development, financial services, and municipal government. Additionally, she has been a certified economic developer for more than 8 years. “I am thrilled to be a part of the UEDB! It is a privilege to work for the Board and serve the community with the innovative and dedicated leaders of the Town of Upton.”
