Construction will begin its initial operations on the Willow Street Project, bringing renovations to Upton’s infrastructure and surfacing.
In the Town Hall meeting last Tuesday, after the contract with Bear Lodge Engineering came in $14,612.50 under the original contract price, the town council voted to move that money toward the Willow Street Project to begin operations. Based on the renderings of the construction and overall design, it was approved to start the inspections and recording of the project.
The council also authorized Mayor Beck to authorize the start of the project. This authorization will allow materials to be ordered to officially begin planning the construction process. The Willow Street Project will bring new infrastructure to Willow Street, as the surface has been worn down over the years. The road will be repaved, as well as utilities to be renovated to support development in the land surrounding the street.
