The Upton Economic Development Board (UEDB) is a 501(c)4 nonprofit corporation, managed by a volunteer board of directors. This organization was created for the purpose of promoting economic vitality, an engaged, healthy and educated population, and a sustainable and vibrant community of Upton. The mission is: "To serve as stewards that promote, develop, and support a strong greater Upton community.”

Products/Services: UEDB offers grants to the town, Weston County School District 7, and local nonprofits for community projects. Tuition grants are awarded to the Weston County Children's Center-Upton for pre-school child development. Academic, Career Development, High School Equivalency Certificate, Registered Apprenticeship, and Trade/Vocational scholarships are awarded to provide local access to higher education, technical training, retraining to new industries and for career advancement. UEDB provides information and delivers resources, services and programs to facilitate local business growth, and in support of workforce training, education, and career development.
