School Board Approves Faculty Resignations

On the heels of Upton High School Principal Linda Crawford’s announcement of her retirement effective at the end of the current school year, the Board of Trustees for Weston County School District No. 7 received a handful more resig- nations to approve at their first meeting of 2022 on the evening of January 12th.

The Trustees approved the resignation of Laura Turner as High School Varsity Volleyball Coach and Michele Pierce as Paraeducator.

They also approved the resignation of two retirees. Effective at the end of this school year, Christi Hampton, District Librarian, will be retiring, and Meda Warbis, Middle School and High School Mathematics, will also be retiring.

When replacements for these positions are hired by the Trustees, the Gazette will let you know.
