Town of Upton Prepares for a Doubleheader Event Weekend

Fall Festival/Rose Classic Memorial Show and Shine + the Inyan Kara Enduro

When the colors are changing and the temps are cooling down in September, things are still heating up in Upton, Wyoming. The town is preparing for a doubleheader event weekend September 10 – 11, 2022, with two annual events - the 2022 Fall Festival/Rose Classic Memorial Show and Shine, and the Inyan Kara Enduro. 

The Rose Classic Show and Shine began in 2002, when longtime Upton resident Carson Rose began hosting a car show for car enthusiasts and the community to enjoy together. Since then, the car show has grown into the Upton Chamber Fall Festival and Rose Classic Show and Shine, with vendors, live music and many more activities throughout the day.

The Inyan Kara Enduro takes place Sunday, September 11. The event, which is part of the Rocky Mountain Enduro Circuit, is a dirt bike race that takes racers through Upton’s Inyan Kara trails and community pasture to compete for the fastest time.

Check out Upton City Park. Yes, the park! The Chamber of Commerce plans to bring in a variety of food trucks to join the lineup of vendors for the car show this year, in addition to the established venues in town.

About the Event

Fall Festival/Rose Classic Memorial Show and Shine

In 2022, the Rose Classic Show and Shine will be renamed the Rose Classic Memorial Show and Shine, to honor Carson Rose’s dedication to volunteer her time and efforts to keep the event running for 20 years. Join us to see a variety of classic, muscle and other types of cars, and to close out the summer season in Upton.

• Vendors
  Along with the car show, the 2022 Fall Festival is expected to have vendors from Northeast Wyoming and the surrounding areas attend the event. In previous years, Fall Festival has hosted a variety of vendors to the park, including homemade food and treats, custom made art and jewelry. • Ron Materi Memorial 5K
  The Ron Materi Memorial 5K event makes its return to Fall Festival this year, with the annual fun run/walk taking place once again in Upton. The Ron Materi Memorial 5K began in 2013, after local resident Ron Materi passed away. 2022 marks the 10th annual 5K walk/run, which has been hosted by wife Carla Materi since 2013. 

Inyan Kara Enduro

For the first time in Upton history, Fall Festival will share the weekend with the Inyan Kara Enduro. Since 1995, Upton has hosted the Rocky Mountain Enduro Circuit, an organization that hosts an organized schedule of off-road specific enduro events across the Rocky Mountain Region. Riders will begin coming to Upton days before the event to prepare their bikes for the Sunday race. https://www.racermec.com/

This year’s Fall Festival/Inyan Kara Riders’ Enduro combination weekend it set to break ground as a first of its kind, bringing two large events in Upton together. Come to Upton and enjoy a variety of activities, good food, family and friends!
